Elizabeth Bullard is a PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering department. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in May 2021. Her undergraduate research explored the use of a miniaturized diffuse reflectance probe to quantify hemoglobin content and oxygenation in mice with ulcerative colitis. She currently works in collaboration with the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine to develop a near-infrared fluorescence microendoscope to detect nanoparticles in colorectal cancer. On the side, Elizabeth enjoys reading, cooking, and educating the younger generations on the beauty of bioengineering.
